Hi, if you are reading this, welcome to my first blog ever. To all future employers: please hire me on the spot, you won't regret it. But yeah, let's get back to the blog, so this is my first blog post how about you guys? To be honest I got no clue what to write about, but it will somehow turn out good, it always does.

What have I been doing?

Let me start with what I have been doing the last few months. So for one I have been actively taking part in Stardance, a YSWS run by Hack Club, a nonprofit for tech-oriented teenagers that rewards them for coding or building hardware projects (shoutout Hack Club). During this event I created Poorup, my biggest and coolest project, up to date, pls check it out. Let's get back to the topic. Because of Poorup I even managed to get a Bambu Lab P1S totally for free, crazy right?

After actively being part of the community, I thought, "Now I wanna somehow organize my own event and give back." So I decided to start LOADOUT, a proposal YSWS organized by me, which would run through Hack Club (shoutout Ar***d). It will allow people to come to Germany for free for a three-day hackathon if they manage to create enough projects. So I can confidently say that because of Hack Club my last few months have been pretty dope, though also pretty exhausting.

Loadout planning

So I just noticed I should probably explain Loadout in a bit more detail and what I have done, so here I am, ik nice from me, isn't it :). What is Loadout? Well basically I noticed that most YSWS either go in 2 directions: they are too niche for a general person to take part in and only allow certain projects, or they are too general and allow all kinds of projects. Now what is the problem with this? Well, general YSWS don't really allow a person to gain a specific skill set and equipment for them to improve in it, and though niche YSWS achieve that, they are so niche that a lot of people can't take part. So Loadout plans to solve this by rewarding people to focus in one area but also allowing multiple areas.

But let me explain what I needed to do. Basically I was tasked with creating a rough cost spreadsheet for the proposal, and while doing it I really struggled, because I really got a reality check on how expensive stuff is. Though don't get me wrong, it was fun, but nevertheless fun.

Bye till later

Well I pretty much got to say what I wanted, and I'm pretty sure it turned out pretty good. So as I said, things always turn out good, and even if they don't, it's a valuable experience. Well, I hope you liked it, and in case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night! Bye!
